Youth/Student Chat Partner
(part time, work from home)
We are seeking outgoing, enthusiastic young people/students (13 - 25) to spend 1-5 hours per week chatting online with foreign students to help them improve their English.

Job Title: English Language Chat Partner
Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic English Language Chat Partner to assist students in improving their conversational English skills. As a chat partner, you will engage in one-on-one conversations with students from around the world who are learning English as a second language.
Responsibilities:

Engage in conversational English with students through an online chat platform
-
Provide feedback and corrections to improve the student's spoken English skills
-
Help students develop their vocabulary and grammar through casual conversation
-
Encourage students to practice their speaking and listening skills by asking open-ended questions and providing prompts
-
Create a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes language learning
-
Be available for scheduled chat sessions during predetermined times
-
Keep accurate records of student progress and provide reports to management as needed
Requirements:

Native fluency in English

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Patience and a willingness to listen and help

A reliable internet connection and computer with audio and video capabilities

Comfortable using an online chat platform

Prior experience in teaching or tutoring is a plus but not required

As a chat partner, you will be working with students from various backgrounds and cultures. It is important to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of our students. You will be required to adhere to the following protocols:

All conversations and interactions with students are strictly confidential. Chat Partners must record all conversations with students and submit the recordings to the administrator.

Do not share any personal information or contact details with students.

Do not disclose any information about students to anyone outside of the organization without written consent from the student or their legal guardian.

Respect cultural differences and avoid any topics that may be considered sensitive or offensive.

Follow company policies and procedures related to student privacy and data protection.

Report any concerns or issues related to student well-being or safety to the appropriate personnel.
Remuneration:
$20 per hour to begin.

Job Title: Online English Teacher (Part-Time, Work From Home)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Online English Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching English to foreign students, helping them improve their language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. As an Online English Teacher, you will work part-time, from the comfort of your own home, and earn a competitive rate of $50 CAD per hour.

Teach English to foreign students using Zoom and the Rebus online platform.

Create and maintain a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement

Keep accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with students and their parents/guardians as necessary

Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities as required
Requirements:

Native fluency in English

Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or related field, or related experience

Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably with experience teaching English to foreign students (youth and/or adults)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with online teaching platforms and tools

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Availability to work part-time, including weekends and evenings as needed
