We are currently recruiting app testers, including teachers and students. Apply as a student or teacher. Selected participants will receive testing instructions, a private access link, and compensation details by email.

Instructions for
Student Testers

Scriptilly is looking for students in Grade 8 or above to help test a new teacher-guided writing platform.

Before you apply:

You must be at least 13 years old and in Grade 8 or above.
Students aged 13 to 15 must have parent or guardian permission before taking part. A permission section is included at the bottom of the application form.
Applying does not guarantee selection. Selected testers will receive further instructions by email.

If you are selected:

You will receive a private link to Scriptilly and an assignment code.
Sign in to the student workspace using the details provided.
Complete the short practice writing assignment in Scriptilly. Write between 200 and 500 words.
Use the workspace as naturally as possible. You may explore the available writing tools and Ask Scriptilly coaching features.
Do not paste in work from another document, submit a real school assignment, or include private personal information.
When you have finished, submit your work through Scriptilly.
Complete the short feedback form inside the app. This must be completed before payment is issued.

Optional Follow-Up Focus Group:

Some testers may later be invited to take part in a small group discussion about their experience using Scriptilly. Participation in this discussion is entirely optional.

Students selected for a focus group will receive additional compensation beyond the payment provided for testing the app. Students aged 13 to 15 will require parent or guardian permission before joining a focus group.

Your practice writing and feedback will help improve Scriptilly for students and teachers. Participation is voluntary, and you may stop at any time.

Teacher Testers

Scriptilly is looking for teachers and educators to help test a new teacher-guided writing platform for the age of generative AI.

Before you apply:

Applying does not guarantee selection. Selected testers will receive further instructions by email.
This is an independent product-testing activity. Please do not use real student work, student names, grades, or confidential school information.

If you are selected:

You will receive a private link and access instructions for the Scriptilly teacher area.
Explore the teacher workflow, including assignment setup, teacher expectations, rubric tools, submission settings, and the student writing process.
Review a sample student submission and the available teacher feedback and assessment tools.
Consider whether the process would be useful, practical, and appropriate in your own teaching context.
Record any points of confusion, missing features, concerns, or suggestions.
Complete the feedback form inside Scriptilly when you finish. This must be completed before payment is issued.

Optional Follow-Up Focus Group:

Some teacher testers may later be invited to take part in a small group discussion about their experience using Scriptilly. Participation is entirely optional.

Teachers selected for a focus group will receive additional compensation beyond the payment provided for testing the app.

Your feedback will help shape how Scriptilly supports teacher judgment, student writing development, and responsible use of AI in education.

Remuneration

Selected participants will receive compensation after completing the assigned Scriptilly app test and the required in-app feedback form.

Student testers: $30 by Interac e-Transfer
Teacher testers: $55 by Interac e-Transfer

Payment will be sent to the email address provided during the application process. For student testers aged 13 to 15, payment will normally be sent to the parent or guardian email provided with permission.

Some participants may also be invited to take part in an optional follow-up focus group. Focus-group participation is separate from app testing and includes additional compensation:

Student focus-group participants: an additional $50
Teacher focus-group participants: an additional $75

Participation in the focus group is optional and is not required to receive payment for the app test.

Your Privacy Matters

Contact information is used only to review applications, arrange testing, obtain parent or guardian permission where required, and provide compensation. It is not used as part of the test writing or feedback assessment.

Students:

Applying does not give Scriptilly access to your school records, grades, or personal files.
We collect only the information needed to review your application, arrange the pilot, obtain parent/guardian permission where needed, and provide payment.
Please use only the practice assignment provided. Do not enter real school work or sensitive personal information.
Your contact details are kept separate from your test writing and feedback where possible.
Participation is voluntary. You can stop at any time.
For testers under 16, parent/guardian permission is required before participation.

Teachers:

We collect only the information needed to review your application, arrange the pilot, and provide payment.
Please do not upload real student work, student names, grades, or confidential school information.
Pilot feedback and test materials are used to improve Scriptilly.
Your contact details are kept separate from test feedback where possible.
Participation is voluntary. You can stop at any time.
You may contact us to ask about or request deletion of your application information.
